Lovecraft's works directly. Masks of Nyarlathotep: Perilous Adventures to Thwart the Dark God is an expansion for Chaosium’s seminal roleplaying game Call of Cthulhu. It was written by Larry DiTillio and Lynn Willis.

Overview[]

As the tagline might suggest, the story involves the players attempting to foil the plots of the Outer God Nyarlathotep through a series of encounters which take them across the globe. Originally consisting of five scenarios, a sixth which had been cut from the first release was later added back in, and in 2018 an all-new seventh scenario was included with a special edition set. The locations visited are New York, London, Cairo, Nairobi, Shanghai, Australia and Peru.
