HI, I saw that you put the hgh priest not to be described in the "to delete" category but I don't understand why since it is a character that does play a part in the lovecraft mythos. Is that a mistake?
There's High Priest Not to Be Described which overlapped with it. I added what content from the other page was not there amd marked the other page for deletion. Could as well use it as redirect for the active page.
I assisted recently to a staff podcast - they said that the fewer categories the better; user (almost) never navigated past the first category for any type - let's say "Books" or "Gods", or whatever. They also said that a more refined navigation can be achieved by the proper use of navboxes.
By the look of it, categories here seem to have been put together by at least three different people, each with their own agenda; the result is messy. Can only go ahead by trial and error.
Yes, I agree that it is messy, I arrived quite recently to try and fix some of it too... I believe that most of the categories are copy/paste-d from wikipedia.Sadly ths wiki is abandoned by admins for now.
I think that a distinction between real world and in-universe should remain but it's not a big priority atm.
I would also like to say that I believe some distinction should remain between the cthulhu mythos deities and the ones from other works. Though I know it is debatable since there exist without doubt some short story unifying these stories together.
I've met the prefix system, as undeveloped as it can be, on Speculative evolution wiki. I'm not entirely convinced - one easy objection might be that it wreaks havoc with the alphabetization in the categories.
