Mnomquah is a fictional entity created by the late British author Brian Lumley for his 1984 short story "The Sorcerer's Book."
Description[]
Mnomquah is a great reptilian creature with a crown of writhing feelers and empty sockets in place of eyes, although somehow it is still able to see. It is trapped inside the Dreamlands' moon, though how it became stuck there is unknown. In Brian Lumley's version of the expanded Cthulhu Mythos, it is the mate of the disgusting Oorn, and when the Great Old Ones awaken to lay waste to our world, then Mnomquah will be reunited with its repulsive bride.
It is called the Lord of the Black Lake because it rules over the Lake of Ubboth, a great body of water which rests beneath the surface of the moon.
