This subject contains information from the "Lovecraft Circle" Myth Cycles, and while guided by HPL are not based on his work alone. Monk's Hollow is a fictional village invented by Henry Kuttner, the setting of his stories "The Frog" and "The Hunt."

In "The Frog," it's described as a "quiet, lonely little village" that is "hidden in a secluded valley in the eastern hills." Its exact location is not specified, but it may not be far from New York City, as an artist moves from there to Monk's Hollow to get privacy for his painting. It has a history of witchcraft, which suggests somewhere in New England.

Points of interest include the Witch Stone, the North Swamp, and the Wizard's House.

The Witch Stone, in "The Frog," is "a roughly chiseled block of gray stone, perhaps three feet high and two feet square, which stood in the flower garden behind" an ancient, gambreled house...two miles from the village." It served to imprison the frog-thing Persis Winthorp until it was moved by artist Norman Hartley.

The North Swamp, also in "The Frog," is a "festering" place "shunned by the villagers" where "witches had worked detestable sorceries."

The Wizard's House, appearing in "The Hunt," is a cabin in "a little canyon two miles from the village of Monk’s Hollow." It is the home of the occultist Will Benson.
