Muriel Elizabeth (Gammons) Eddy (January 19, 1896 - January 30, 1978) was a writer born in Taunton, Massachusetts. She corresponded with H. P. Lovecraft and was married to Lovecraft collaborator C. M. Eddy, Jr..

She spent parts of her early life living in California before returning to New England and living the rest of her life in Providence, Rhode Island.

She married C. M. Eddy in 1918. They began their friendship in an exchange of letters centered on their common interest in amateur writing. Once married, both Muriel and her husband developed their writing careers and began to be published professionally. While working as a writer, Muriel gave birth to three children with her husband.

Muriel Eddy wrote in many genres, including romance, occult, biography and poetry. She served as president of the Rhode Island Writers' Guild for more than 20 years, and also taught creative writing.

She maintained a voluminous correspondence with authors including H. P. Lovecraft, August Derleth, L. Sprague de Camp, Sonia Haft Greene Davis, Joseph Payne Brennan, Robert Bloch, and Princess Red Wing.

She made a lasting contribution to Lovecraft scholarship with her biographical work The Gentleman from Angell Street, which also features reminiscences from her husband. This work was first published in 1945 under the title Howard Phillips Lovecraft, and then republished in an expanded 2001 edition. The accuracy of some of her descriptions and remembered incidents has been questioned.
