Description

The N'Bangu are a fictional Congo river basin tribe in the short story "Facts concerning the Late Arthur Jermyn and His Family".

Arthur Jermyn is told that the N'bangu were responsible for the eradication of the "white apes" that occupied the jungles and ruins in the Congo basin.

This tribe may be a reference to, or an archaic name for the Bangubangu tribe of what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
