"Out of the Frying Pan" is a short Cthulhu Mythos story by American author Ron Shiflet.
Synopsis[]
After a botched bank job, Jake Higgins runs off into the West Virginia backwoods to escape the law. Stumbling across the run-down cabin of the old madwoman Mother Shub and her beautiful young apprentice Dora, Higgins' overactive libido and penchant for strong liquor cause him to fall foul of the witch's magic.
