Partridgeville is an imaginary town created by Frank Belknap Long, the setting of his stories "The Space-Eaters" (1928) and "The Hounds of Tindalos" (1929). Long does not specify a state, but it is on a seacoast and near New York City, which suggest New Jersey or Connecticut.

In Long's Fiction[]

Partridgeville has a newspaper, the Partridgeville Gazette; it is home to the Partridgeville Glue Works and the Partridgeville Chemical Laboratories. law enforcement is provided by the Partridgeville Reserve.[1]

The town's financial district is built around Central Square, where the jewelry firm Smithwich and Isaacs is located. The First Baptist Church, designed in 1717 by the famous British architect Christopher Wren, is found on Angell Hill.[1]

On the outskirts of town is Mulligan Wood, which is near Mulligan Beach and the Mulligan Light. Mulligan Beach faces a harbor, which is connected by a channel to the Narrows.[2]

On the other side of Mulligan Wood is the nearby town of Brewster.[2]
