Peter Slader

Peter Slader was a neighbor of Joe Slater, both of whom lived in the same community of hill dwellers in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. During one of Joe Slater's uncontrollable manic episodes, Peter attempted to restrain him and was brutally killed. Joe, who was horrified at what he had done after returning to his senses, was tried for murder, found not guilty by reason of insanity, and was confined to a mental hospital.
