Phorcys is a monster of Greek mythology. The Marvel adaptation by Jeff Parker and Gabriel Hardman first appeared in 2010 in the 2nd issue of the comic book miniseries, X-Men vs Agents of Atlas.

Like his father, the Elder God Set, the sea god Phorcys is known to have spawned many monsters, ones known to humans in their mythologies and which are involved in the histories of the Olympians and Asgardians. He is 200 ft tall, possesses super strength, and the ability to regenerate. It has clawed hands and several long tentacles surrounding its mouth. It can psychically control the Sirens.
