Samantha Lee Howe, who goes by the pen name of Sam Stone for her horror and fantasy works, is an English author and editor. She has written numerous stories set in the Cthulhu Mythos inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft and many others. Her Lovecraftian short fiction has appeared in anthologies such as Return of the Old Ones, The Dark Rites of Cthulhu, Heroes of Red Hook, Atomic-Age Cthulhu, Eldritch Chrome, Through a Mythos Darkly, Tails of Terror, and Summer of Lovecraft, as well as in her own collection Cthulhu and Other Monsters.
Stone has cited authors including Tanith Lee and Stephen King as among her inspirations [1].
