Scathach is a character from Gaelic mythology introduced into the Cthulhu Mythos in the story "October Surprise" by Kevin L. O'Brien. In the Mythos story, she is described as the daughter of Hziulquoigmnzhah and Klosmiebhyx and the sister of Ysbaddaden.

In Gaelic mythology, Scathach was a warrior-queen and sorceress. She is considered to be the legendary founder of Scotland in some tales and also figures prominently in the Ulster Cycle of Irish history and folklore.[1] Her name means "The Shadowy One" in Gaelic.[2]
