Synopsis[]

Infamous cat burglar Countess Alessandra Zorzi has left Arkham, Massachusetts with her protege, Pepper Kelly, in hopes of redeeming herself from her life of crime. She is now tracking down artifacts and volumes she stole for nefarious occultists in order to restore them to the "right" hands of Miskatonic University. However, Pepper is soon kidnapped by her former lover, the Comte Henri de Erlette, who ransoms her at a steep cost: the original copy of Cultes des Goules. Black Chamber agent, Trish, and a representative of the ghoul agent want the book for themselves. However, the Comte has his own plan for the tome that may shake the foundations of the universe.

Characters[]

  • Countless Alessandra Zorzi - An infamous Italian cat burglar from a family of con men and grifters. She is both beautiful as well as cunning. The Countess has made her career dealing in occult artifacts stolen from an eclectic and eccentric clientele. Her encounters in Arkham have caused her to reevaluate her belief in the supernatural.
  • Pepper Kelly - A young woman masquerading as a boy to serve as an Arkham taxi driver. She has done some bootlegging work for the local gangs but is not a professional criminal. That is until the Countess offers her a lucrative and enjoyable side career as her guide.
  • Trish: An agent of the Black Chamber (the predecessor agency for the NSA) that is in charge of investigating occult matters for the United States government. It is loosely allied with the Silver Twilight Lodge and wishes to acquire the book for themselves.
  • Comte Henri de'Erlette: A French aristocrat whose ancestor wrote the original Cults des Goules. He is obsessed with his family's occult legacy and getting revenge on the entire ghoul race. He is the Countess' former lover.
