Legend says that they appear on worlds to eliminate all sane life and prepare them for the return of the Great Old Ones, but the truth is that, rather than moving for the convenience of extraterrestrial beings, the massacres and havoc they cause are due to their tremendous hunger.

Description

Its shape is that of squirming masses. Although they possess an innate type of invisibility, their presence can be perceived as they exude a horrible stench. They are created through a blasphemous ritual in which a mortal creature (usually human although other humanoids and animals can serve and not necessarily female) is used as an incubator. The mother dies in childbirth and generally gives birth to twins, a Spawn of Yog-Sothoth and a Child of Yog-Sothoth.

Although they quickly grow to a large size, the rate of growth will be slower if they continue to feed. However, not all have this aspect or size, since they can be more similar to their brothers and simply require loose clothing to live in civilized places. For example, some may be wizards. Those older are the size of buildings or small hills.

They are immune to both cold and fire and can perform devastating attacks. If they die, their meat melts quickly and soon only a crusty mark remains.
