Stephen Strange (aka, Dr. Strange) is a superhero in the fictional Marvel universe, who was created in 1963 and has been one of it's main superheroes, a B-list hero with several of his own comic book series.
Background
Doctor Strange is Earth's premiere mystical defender, it's most powerful sorcerer and the one that Earth's other superheroes most often turn to when they need to consult on mystical questions or need a mystical heavy hitter. His greatest and oldest enemy is the eldritch dimensional conqueror, sorcerer god Dormammu. He has clashed with more Old Ones than any other of Earth's heroes, and has battled both Shuma-Gorath and Chthon several times.
