Description[]
Is there any description of these things? I see one from prior to "reverting to version prior to copy from Lovecraft Wiki Spanish", but is there a particular reason it was removed? Just because it comes from the Spanish language version doesn't mean it's illegitimate. Meganerd18 (talk) 05:34, 16 August 2022 (UTC)
- If there is one, it’ll be somewhere in TDQoUK. I’m not particularly familiar with it, so I’m afraid I can’t be of much help.
The reason that the old version was removed is that for a while we had a bad-faith editor who liked to take content from other wikis, run it through Google Translate, and pass it off as his own. Needless to say, the original author was none too happy about this, and removed the content (as he did with many other pages). He reasoned that the articles deserved better than a bad translation, and I can honestly say that I can’t blame him. - Usually rewriting is preferable, but nobody should have to take the time to rewrite their own work just because someone else decided to steal it and run it through a translator. Please feel free to rewrite it though; I certainly have no objections and I’m sure the original author wouldn’t either. TheSmoog78 (talk) 11:33, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
