This subject contains information from the Expanded Cthulhu Mythos, and not based on H.P. Lovecraft's works directly. Tartessus is a fictional character in Marvel Comics. Who was created in 1993 by Geof Isherwood. Making its first appearance in issue #51 of the 1st volume of the Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme comic book series.

Background[]

Tartessus, is an offspring of the Elder God Set. She is a 20 ft demon, who with her tongue feeds on a victim's soul and mind. She rules over her own dimension and feeds on souls to survive. Not powerful enough to cross dimensions on her own power, relying on the Talisman of Tartessus, which was left on Earth and is over 700 years old.
