Overview[]

As its name might suggest, The Hastur Cycle focuses on the Great Old One Hastur, first incorporated into the Cthulhu Mythos by H. P. Lovecraft from a short story by Ambrose Bierce. It also explores the mythology of the King in Yellow as invented by Robert W. Chambers and elaborated by other authors.

Each of the stories had been previously published and features a short introduction by editor Robert M. Price, who also provided additional material. It features cover and interior artwork by Dreyfus, was first published by Chaosium in October 1993, and ran to 304 pages.

A second revised edition was issued in June 2006, with all new cover art by H. E. Fassl, an interior plate by Earl Geier, and a poem and short story not featured in the first edition. This edition ran to 300 pages.
