"The Incessant Drone" is a short Cthulhu Mythos story by British-born author Neil Baker.
Synopsis[]
With the planet being slowly conquered by mile-high abominations dubbed 'Thrashers', what remains of the world's military unites to do what they can to stop the incursion. However, their air attacks are all but useless against the Thrashers, and the few successes they are able to achieve give way to a shocking revelation: whatever dark forces are behind the attack are using humankind's own warriors against them.
