The Moon-Lens is a short Cthulhu Mythos story by British author Ramsey Campbell. It was first published in the 1964 Arkham House collection The Inhabitant of the Lake and Less Welcome Tenants.
Synopsis[]
When Roy Leakey visits Exham in pursuit of his passion - second-hand books - he is trapped by a cult devoted to Shub-Niggurath. After a horrifying experience in the Outer God's temple, he finds himself transformed both physically and mentally, with none able to help him ease his pain.
