"Tricks no Treats" is a short story by the late American author Paul Dale Anderson.
Synopsis[]
A patient in a lunatic asylum relates the tale of how he travelled to Arkham, Massachusetts on Halloween night with the hope of finding a mystic portal which would allow him to talk to his dead wife. However, the portal spews forth a gaggle of immature Shoggoths which pursue him through the city streets and rob him of his sanity.
