Vhoorl is a planet in the "Twenty-Third Nebula" (CIRCLE: "The Guardian of the Book") and supposed birthplace of Cthulhu (EXP: "The Horror in the Gallery").

Background[]

In "The Horror in the Gallery", by Lin Carter, it is claimed that Cthulhu is the offspring of Yog-Sothoth, who mated with a female denizen of the planet Vhoorl. However, this information contradicts the genealogical charts created by H. P. Lovecraft and Clark Ashton Smith, in which Cthulhu is the offspring of Nug (in Lovecraft's version) or Cxaxukluth (in Smith's version).

In Other Media[]

In the Transformers multiverse, Vhoorl is a neutral planet in the Dark Nebula. (ADJ: Transformers Animated: The AllSpark Almanac II)
