Vile-Oct is a serpent or fish-like creature said to be a familiar of the Great Old One known as Yig, who was imprisoned in the Pit of Ngoth in the caverns of Yoth. The entity can see through the eyes of a great dragon that travels throughout the cosmos, and can communicate with humans using a vaporous image created by flames from a great brazier.
