Lovecraft's works directly. William Adcock is an American traditional games designer and occasional author from Rochester, New York,[1] best known for his work on Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu horror roleplaying game. For Call of Cthulhu, he has written material in several of the game's settings, including Classic (1920s), Colonial era, and particularly Cthulhu Invictus (Roman empire). Several of his works have been independently published through Chaosium/DriveThruRPG's Miskatonic Repository creator-driven resource initiative, although he has also worked with third-party content provider Golden Goblin Press.

Adcock has also provided material for a number of Cthulhu Reborn's Cthulhu Eternal publications.
