William Meikle is an author of horror and mystery who has made several contributions to the Cthulhu Mythos first established by H. P. Lovecraft, including several crossing over William Hope Hodgson's occult detective Thomas Carnacki. Born in Scotland but currently living in Canada, Meikle can claim over 30 published novels and more than 300 short stories to his name.
The association of music and, to a lesser extent, dancing with the supernatural is a common element of Meikle's works.
