Yuggoth is a planet located at the very edge of the Earth's Solar System in either the Kuipler Belt, Scattered Disk or even as far away as the Oort Cloud. It is the site of a Mi-Go colony, a race of fungoid, crustacean-like extraterrestrials.
Description
The artifact known as the Shining Trapezohedron is stated to have been created on Yuggoth. Yuggoth has been suggested to be Pluto. However acording to Russel's Guide Yuggoth is cleary not Pluto.
Trivia
- If Yuggoth is Pluto then that means that Yuggoth is in the Kuipler Belt region of the Solar System. Pluto was discovered while Mr. Lovecraft was still alive. It was the only Kuipler Belt Object to be discovered in the while he was alive time period. The next KBO would not be discovered until 1992.
- The Artifical and Bio-mechanical nature of Yuggoth seems to give a good explanation for how a inteligent civilization could exist at this location due to the distance from the Sun. The mechanical devices on the planet will generate enough heat to keep its people alive but then the question becomes - what is the energy source of the planet Yuggoth?.
